父母刚走，我的生物钟还没完全调整过来，昨晚爬上床辗转反侧睡不着，就起来去客厅看DVD。在Love Actually和The Emperor's Club之间犹豫了一下，还是选择了后者。这部2002年片子，还只有影片Trailer的时候就很吸引我，国内却没有发行。后来朋友帮我从网上下载来刻进光盘，我到底也没能在来瑞士前看到这部片子。

　　对这部电影未见之爱来自相似题材，由Robin Williams主演的电影Dead Poets Society，国内翻作《春风化雨》。因为自己学英语教育出身，毕业后却一直没作教育工作，总有些缺憾，所以围绕师生主题的电影，永远是我的最爱。

　　原本期待的The Emperor's Club的结局，是正直的老师Mr. Hundert把捣蛋学生Sedgewick Bell彻底“塑造（mold）”过来，成为一个同样聪明、诚实、正直的人，让我再一次相信教育的重要。在影片中，却还是应了Bell的参议员父亲的话——“你不必塑造我的儿子，你只要教育他就行了，我会来塑造他，（You're not gonna mold my boy. Your job is to teach my son....That is your job. You, sir, will not mold by son. I will mold him.）”。所以25年后的Mr. Julius Caesar比赛中，Bell仍然作弊，仍然被Mr. Hundert发现，仍然不被当众揭穿，仍然被最后一个即兴的问题难倒。在洗手间里，Mr. Hundert向Bell坦言“I failed you.”Bell辩解这个社会不再需要诚实、正直的美德之后，厕所间的门开了，Bell自己的儿子低着头走出来，用怨恨、鄙夷的眼光瞟了一眼自己的父亲，悄然走出去……故事到这里还没有结束。

　　第二天一早，Mr. Hundert的其他学生在他的房间里给他一个惊喜，让他发现，虽然他fail了一个学生，但其他的学生如今都是国家的栋梁，继续着他一贯秉承的美德。在这里把他的学生的一段话引过来：A great teacher has little external history to record. His life goes over into other lives. These men are pillars in the intimate structure of our schools. They are more essential than its stones or beams, and they will continue to be a kindling force and a revealing power in our lives.（了不起的老师鲜有外部历史可纪录。他的生命在其他生命中得到延续。这样的人是学校紧密结构中的支柱，他们比它的石块和横梁更重要，他们会继续作为我们的生命中的动力。）

　　整部电影的色彩非常丰富饱满，让我几乎有重看《春风化雨》的冲动。在我的生命中，有好些位老师引导，更有我爸爸对我的塑造，还少不了我的信仰的带领，我才成为这样的我。
